Our Field Hockey Skills Academy is designed to prepare experienced 5th-12th grade field hockey players for high school and college field hockey. The tempo and intensity of skills training sessions are designed to teach intermediate and advanced skills, and have players get comfortable combining skills as appropriate. ​

​Our field hockey skills training will develop player's ability to: 

• ​Handle the stick comfortably with two hands 
• Execute backhand and forehand shots 
• Shoot hard deliberate shots with speed 
• Pass and trap on the move 
• Perform 1v1 circle eliminations
• Change speed on and off ball  
• Understand post up, back door and tipping angles
• Dribble with vision

• Make proper decisions both offensively and defensively
• Understand man and zone defensive concepts 
• Execute defensive footwork and closing distances
• Understand their body positioning  
• Accurately hit & sweep
• Execute Tackling skills 
• Clear the ball 
• ​Execute Circle marking

Winter Training

(No sessions December 21st or 28th)
