Softball has long been a sport where the difficulty of tasks in-game differs substantially from the difficulty of practice on the field and in the cage.

At Perfect Performance we insert hitters into an individualized, group environment that seeks to recreate the challenge of ingame hitting. Leveraging data with a physics based approach, there is no guess work in our pursuit of helping athletes achieve their goals.
Softball hitting development has been a relatively limited concept, as baseball receives the most nuanced attention in driving the game forward. Taking the foundational concepts of a complete hitter, categories such as bat speed play an even bigger role in softball (larger ball and smaller field of play) making its development even more valuable to player performance at the plate.
In addition to hitting, Perfect Performance offers pitching development for both youth and advanced players at our state of the art indoor facility in Tysons Corner, VA.

OUR LEADERSHIP
Aliyah is a northern Virginia native, graduated from Woodbridge Senior High School. Growing up Aliyah played for the Mount Vernon Magic Elite travel team where she then went on to pitch at Morgan State university in 2016. Pursuing a major in elementary education, Aliyah transferred to Washington Adventist University, leading her inaugural team to break the school record for wins. During her time at WAU, Aliyah held the record for number of strike outs in one season (102). In 2018 Aliyah was named MVP by the Washington Adventist University Athletic Department.
Concluding Aliyah’s playing career, she went on to coach 18u MVM Elite travel team as well as the pitching coach for Garfield High School varsity team. Most recently Aliyah was the volunteer head coach for a little league softball team, leading a rookie team to 2nd place for the 2023 spring season. Aliyah's coaching philosophy is that she believes player development starts with “trust “. Trusting the skills practiced over time leads to fearless performance. Having trust in teammates and coaches allows for an environment that is founded on confidence. Coaching with the intention of creating players with mental longevity, Aliyah’s philosophy is that a confident athlete becomes an individual with life skills that pay off on and off of the field. |
Alyssa comes from a military background and began to focus on softball when her family moved to Ashburn, Virginia. At 12 years old, Alyssa made the decision to switch from batting right to left to become a triple-threat at the plate. She could bunt, slap, and hit for power. Alyssa attended Briar Woods High School where she was ranked "Top 10 Softball Players in Loudoun County" two years in a row, and was ranked in "The Best Players in USSSA Baseball and Fastpitch Softball" in 2013 and 2014.
Alyssa went on to play NCAA Division 1 Softball at Howard University where she pursued a degree in Elementary Education. Due to a knee knee injury she was only able to hit as a substitute, but as a Freshman she still led the team in triples, RBIs, home runs, and had an on-base percentage of .349, an slugging percentage of .435, OPS (on-base + slugging percentage) of .784. Alyssa's love for the game began at an early age, and she wants to instill the same love for the game in the players she coaches. |
