OUR PROGRAMS
The Perfect Performance Girls Field Hockey Academy is a comprehensive training program that develops youth (5th-6th), middle school (7th-8th) and high school (9th-12th) field hockey players to perform and compete at the highest level possible. The program will focus on fundamental, intermediate, and advanced field hockey skills and techniques as well as strength, speed, agility, and footwork specific to field hockey players. Our mission is to help female field hockey players tap into their full potential and learn what makes them truly great! We aim to produce competitive athletes that love playing the game and are prepared to seize every opportunity that field hockey has to offer.

OUR LEADERSHIP
Professional Experience
Alex is a member of the US Men's National Team. Over his 9 years on the team, he has accrued 71 international appearances competing against more than 25 different countries. Alex grew up in Montogermy County, MD. He started field hockey in elementary school at the age of 6 and has continued playing field hockey ever since. In 7th grade, he was named to the US U16 Junior Men's National Team. He eventually moved up to the U21 team and in 2012 he was selected for the Senior National Team. Since 2012, he has competed in world level tournaments including the Pan American Games, Hockey World League, and Pan American Cup. Alex also grew up playing soccer. He played 4 years of college soccer for Franklin & Marshall College. After graduation, Alex joined the Men's National Field Hockey Team in San Diego at the Olympic Training Center from 2013-2018. During this time, he also earned a Master's Degree in mechanical engineering from San Diego State University. Alex began coaching field hockey at 18, assisting with a local club team. In San Diego, he worked with the Poway Mystix FH Club U14, U16, and U19 teams. Alex also ran his own youth FH club, the Chula Vista Chupacabras. In addition, he was an assistant coach for the US Men's U16 and U19 Junior National Teams. Alex is now the volunteer assistant coach at American University. In 2018, Alex moved back to the east coast and briefly joined the field hockey coaching staff at Rutgers University before starting work as an engineer. He currently resides in Washington, DC working full time as a mechanical engineer. Alex is excited to grow the game of field hockey in DC by giving girls and boys of all ages and skill levels a place to have fun and learn while playing field hockey! |
