3 tips for making the perfect pass 1. Feet=Balance a. Do not stand square to your partner/rebounder b. Opposite hand, opposite foot-Always i. If you are passing with your right hand, your should step with your left foot, vise versa ii. This will help keep our momentum going towards our partner 2. Hands/Arms
a. Always want our hands in the TRIPLE THREAT position i. Bottom hand all the way at the bottom on your stick, top hand in the middle of your shaft. ii. You are looking to pull (bottom hand) and push (top hand) at the same time, DO NOT PUNCH your hands straight out in front of you!! b. Your elbows should be up and off of your body (both elbows looking to be at 90 degrees) 3. Follow Through a. As we said you want to push and pull your stick at the same time making a clean follow through. b. If you follow all the way through your pass your bottom hand elbow should end up “in your back pocket” or your bottom arm should look like a ‘chicken wing” 3 tips for making a clean catch 1. Provide a target for the passer a. This target should be right off of your ear b. Not in front of your face or straight out in front of you 2. Have nice soft hands a. Don’t attack the ball b. Top wrist should move slightly back i. Want to have a little “give” as we receive the ball, think about catching an egg 3.
