A- Approach, We want to make sure we take a good angle as we approach our attacker, clearly dictating what we are giving up and what we are taking away as a defender. We never want to run at our attacker full speed.
B- Breakdown, We begin to break our steps down into smaller choppier steps, sitting in a low athletic position, staying on the balls of our feet, ready to change direction.
C- Contact, We always want our contact to be made on our attackers hip, this allows us to control our attacker more than if we play on your arm. We never want to extend our arms and cause a foul.
D- Drive, We lock our arms in good defensive form, and use our legs (not our arms) to drive our attacker out of the 8 meter. All the power is in your legs.
